2011 Ford Mustang Brochure

You can’t miss it when you first glance at the 2011 Ford Mustang brochure; the new models have more power. The phrase is “more power to the pony” and the reason is the all-new aluminum engines for improved performance and horsepower plus 6-speeds. The new V-6 is putting out 305-hp from a new aluminum engine that is 3.7 liter that is sporting dual overhead cams and variable camshaft timing. Now team up that power with the new six-speed transmission and you have a machine that is going jump of the starting line. Now imagine the deep tone of that motor when it escapes from the X=pipe exhaust system through the brightly polished tips and heads down the road like a rocket.

The redline was pushed to 7,000 rpm and the speedometer was turned up to 160 mph just to accommodate this new powerhouse because the new compression ratio is 11:1. Now add the 6-speed transmission and the electronic power steering, tuned struts and shocks and you have a monster.
