Lamborghini Brochures and Literature

The Lamborghini is not your mainstream automobile and I can tell you first hand that Lamborghini brochures are as rare as the car itself. Lamborghini is an Italian luxury and sports car manufacturer has a relatively short history as compared to some of the other automakers. Today Lamborghini is division of Audi, which is ultimately a division of the Volkswagen brand.

Ferruccio Lamborghini originally started Lamborghini in 1963. Ferruccio was an Italian manufacturing mogul that wanted to create a line of automobiles that would complete with Ferrari. Lamborghini released their first vehicles to the public in the mid 1960s. The 1966 Lamborghini Miura sports coupe set the standard when it came to top of the line sports cars. The Miura was a big hit with its rear wheel drive and mid-engine power planet not to mention the comfort and styling. However I am having a problem finding the older Lamborghini brochures and literature.

Over the next ten years Lamborghini grew and became one of the most desired high-performance automobiles. However like so many other automakers the mid 1970s hit and the oil crisis and global economy problems created challenges for Lamborghini. Ferruccio Lamborghini sold the company to Georges Henri-Rossetti and Rene Leimer in 1974 and retired. The Lamborghini Company filed bankruptcy in 1978 and then in 1980 the company was placed in receivership and the Mimran brothers took over the company. Then in 1984 the brothers bought the company out of receivership and started investing money in Lamborghini. The expanded the model lines to include the Countach, Jalpa and the LM002 off road vehicle. I would really like to see the Lamborghini brochures that feature the LM002.

The Chrysler Corporation bought Lamborghini from the Mimran brothers in 1987, but that was short lived. Eventually Chrysler sold Lamborghini after revamping the line to a Malaysian Investment Group in 1994. Then in 1998 Volkswagen bought Lamborghini and placed it under the Umbrella of the Audi Division. Finally Lamborghini has come back to its former glory with new products and models. However things were a bit tight when the world economy and especially the auto industry took a big hit in 2008-2009, but Volkswagen has the resources to weather the storm. Now we can see some Lamborghini brochures and literature.
