You can’t miss it when you first glance at the 2011 Ford Mustang brochure; the new models have more power. The phrase is “more power to the pony” and the reason is the all-new aluminum engines for improved performance and horsepower plus 6-speeds. The new V-6 is putting out 305-hp from a new aluminum engine that is 3.7 liter that is sporting dual overhead cams and variable camshaft timing. Now team up that power with the new six-speed transmission and you have a machine that is going jump of the starting line. Now imagine the deep tone of that motor when it escapes from the X=pipe exhaust system through the brightly polished tips and heads down the road like a rocket.
OK, that was just the V-6 and the Mustang GT is sporting a new 5.0L V-8 producing 412-hp and 390 ft. lb. of torque. The redline was pushed to 7,000 rpm and the speedometer was turned up to 160 mph just to accommodate this new powerhouse because the new compression ratio is 11:1. Now add the 6-speed transmission and the electronic power steering, tuned struts and shocks and you have a monster. The 2011 Ford Mustang brochure displays all the amazing new features and options including the California Special and the Premium Package.
Still want more? OK, how about 550-hp under the hood of the 2011 Mustang Shelby GT500. Now add the performance package that features, spoiler, stripes, special wheels and tires and new shifter. This Shelby GT500 was inspired by Carroll Shelby and fine tuned by Ford SVT for a track ready ride that is unequaled by anything on the road today. The 2011 Ford Mustang brochure has so much more to share with you that includes options, packages and racing parts from Ford.
