The electric car was actually conceived many years ago, but Tesla is taking their car line to the next level. Tesla is a new company built on the premise that nobody ever made an electric car that excited car buyers. Three partners, Martin Eberhard, Elon Musk and Marc Tarpenning, formed Tesla. This group of people all came from Silicon Valley and the founders of Google are investors in the Tesla Company. This is not your normal car company this is a group of visionaries determined to make a better product, which you will see when you look at the Tesla brochures.

Tesla vehicles operate solely on electricity. They are not hybrids; they are fully functional electric vehicles that have ranges of over 250 miles per charge. The Tesla Roadster was the first vehicle with a range of 250 miles per charge and it could be recharged in less than two hours. The Tesla was far cry from the GM version with a range of less than 90 miles and a five-hour recharge cycle. Unlike any other manufacturer Tesla brochures display a fashionable and sporty roadster for their first electric vehicle. Tesla Roadster could keep up with any sports car in its price range with a 0-60 mph in 60 seconds and top speed around 130 miles per hour.

Tesla is slowly, but constantly moving forward and growing. They spend huge sums of new developing batteries and becoming the car of choice with many stars, trendsetters and naturalists. The Tesla brochures feature a line of automobiles that range in price from $65,000 to more than $100,000. The company has outlets throughout the country is shaking up the traditional automobile sales format by having customers ordering their cars from a storefront and having it delivered to their home or office. We will have to watch and see how Tesla Company evolves over the next decade or two, I sure it will be very different than what we have seen in the past.
